Happy Turkey Day

This Thanksgiving we spent with the Hutchison's. We had a lot of fun telling stories, hearing stories and watching Allison be the center of attention. She loves to entertain her family. Poor girl is the only little kid around. I don't think she minded to much though.

She loves to smile for the camera now.
Allison Helping Daddy make sweet potatoes. yum yum

Decorate the Christmas tree

Mommy and Allison putting up ornaments
Daddie and Allison putting the angle on top
getting excited about the tree
Kyle and I decided to put the Christmas tree up the day before thanksgiving. Allison loved it. She has more fun playing with the tree. She put all the ornaments in one spot. Dad and mom had to rearrange them. She is so excited about the tree.

What to do on a gloomy day

Today I have tried thinking of ideas what to do with Allison. Lately we have been stuck in the house because she had the stomach flue one week and this last weekend we had another scare. Allison woke up at 5am on Saturday with a fever of 103.8 in the ear. We called the Dr she had croup. This can be a very serious illness I am told. I have heard of some children being in the hospital. Croup is a barking cough and the kids also have trouble breathing. Kyle and I were very worried. We put her into bed with us then took her to the Dr the next morning. She is doing much better. We are glad we caught it in time. With all the sickness I have run out of ideas what to do with Allison. She does not play by herself so mom tries to entertain her a lot. Today we wanted to get out but many of our other friends were sick or busy. I was a little worried it was going to be a long day today. I am looking forward to a short week and Dad being home.

What did I end up doing with my little one? I brought out paint and let her paint for awhile. It lasted about 5 minutes. Then she played in the sink and that was fun for her but mom had to clean up a lot of water. Then she had me stand in the middle of the kitchen while she ran around me. I asked if I could sit down but she said, "no." I stood there for a long time until i set the timer and said, "OK, when the timer goes off we are done." It was fun watching her run around me though. I finally got my little one off for a nap. I am so ready to do nothing today. The weather is gloomy so I always feel a little lazy. I got all my laundry and cleaning done this weekend so it will be nice to watch a little TV w/out interruption.

Im a girl

nigh nigh. Allison wanting to take a nap. While mom was on the phone. I better put her to bed.

My new Jewelry.
Smile
Allison loving her new purse and Jewelry.
My husband mentioned that I had not updated my blog. The reason for that is, well mom has been busy with a sick girl last week. Last week we went to get Allison a flu shot at Kyles work but she was too young. We called the Dr and they have not received their shots for patience's yet, great. I guess it wouldn't of helped because Allison got the flue. I woke up last Wednesday (11-6) morning to a screaming baby. I turned on her little light and she had thrown up. I put her in the shower with dad and back to bed. She didn't eat very much for about 4 days. I did not know Allison was sick because she acted her normal self. I guess she is like dad when she gets sick. Just goes on with the day like nothing is bothering her. When Allison got better we were able to attend a birthday party for our friend Sophia. The great thing about this party is you don't bring gifts but you leave with gifts. Allison got her first necklace and hello kitty barrettes. She was so excited as you can see in the pictures above. She is defiantly a girlie girl.

Potty number 2

working hard on the potty.

I have not written any exciting news since Halloween. Not much has been going on with us. I am busy taking Allison to toddler school, music class and I try to hang out with friends. This past weekend I got a day to myself. I loved getting away. Kyle took Allison hiking and i cleaned the house, finished my novel and looked at a magazine. Kyle and I have been busy keeping Allison busy on the weekends as well.

Anyways, I wanted to let you all know that Allison tried the potty again. This time she did both number 1 and number 2. After her bath i had her sit on the potty for awhile. She did great. I thought she would never get off the thing. I did take pictures, but a friends husband thought i was weird putting it on the blog so this time i wont gross you out. (Those who know me know i scrapbook every thing. ) I was grossed out by it though. I thought i was going to throw up when i flushed it down the toilet and cleaned the potty, yuk. Allison was very excited. She got a sticker. I really hope this is a start to a new thing. If not I am in no hurry. We really want her to enjoy going potty rather then feeling like she is demanded to. So far so good.
