Easter Egg Hunt

For Easter My family, Kyles parents and great Grandma Marie came over for Easter dinner. We had such a great time. Allison got a tone of books and toys. She even got some candy. We were suppose to do a egg hunt with the Van Liews but since it rained here that did not happen. We ended up doing a small one in our back yard and Allison had a blast. She was so excited. The best part was when she would open up her eggs and fine money, toys or candy in them. She put her money in her piggy bank and she thought that was great. Allison was hilarious the whole day. She was excited to have everyone over.

This was my first time planning a party for a holiday and it went off great. I enjoyed having all our loved ones around. The best part is teaching Allison why we celebrate Easter. Its not about all the eggs and bunnies its about Christ. She made a little art project in church today about the resurrection of Christ. It makes me smile to know others are teaching her the same values Kyle and I try to teach her every day.

My favorite part today was when Allison found candy and opened it up w/out me knowing it. She came into the kitchen, showed it to me and I said, "do you want to eat that?" she said, "Please." I could not say no to that. I didn't even have to ask her to say please she did it all on her own. It just blows me away that they learn so fast. I look at her and just thank the Lord for my precious little girl. Even though I feel like I fail as a mother at times, I know that I am doing something right when her words come out like that. Thank you Jesus, for showing me how to be the best parent, thank you for you dieing on the cross, thank you for my family. Happy Easter Everyone.

Happy Easter

The night before Easter my child in bed. It was past my bed time but I must get things done, then what to my discovery I forgot and it had not been done. I dressed my bunny cake and to my surprise it looked great. It was past 11pm before I was done. I was wiped and so was my husband. So off to bed we did go with anticipation we could not show. We layed our heads down and into a deep sleep. At 7am I did awake, it was Easter and I was running late. We woke Allison up and to our surprise the bunny had left her a basket of books. The Hutchison family hurried to eat and off to Church they did creep. When church was done another house we had to run. We arrived at the Van Liews for a nice breakfast. The next stop would be home and a nap. As I slept mommy and daddie prepared for a family feast and heavenly treats. It was the best Easter that we did have. I look forward to another one. Maybe next year we might have a bun in mommies tum.

Coloring Eggs

Today I had my friend Tamara and her two kids Chloe and Keith come over to color eggs. I was a little nervous because I have not colored eggs with a Toddler in a long time. Allison and Chloe did awesome. Keith just kept busy by exploring the house and playing with Allison's toys. We started off with a egg kit were Allison and Chloe could put stickers and glitter on paper eggs. We then proceeded to get the cups of die ready for our 2 dozen of eggs to die. They turned out really well. Tamara had kits where you could put stickers on the eggs and even make them into bugs. They came with legs. Allison enjoyed putting little stickers all over her eggs and Chloe loved putting the glitter on hers. After all that we headed down stairs to play in Allison's baby pool. Kyle filled it with shredded paper and the kids went nuts. Its a great activity to do inside on cloudy days and if you don't mind the mess. Chloe kept throwing it up in the air and saying "surprise." We enjoy getting together with the Van Liew family. Allison misses "chlo chlo" and Keith if she does not see them at least once a week.

After they left I for sure thought Allison would take a long nap. Nope she slept about 1/2 hr. I was not happy about this. I let her fuss for about 20 minutes then decided hey, she needs to sleep so I will hop in the shower and get ready while she still fusses. It is very hard for me to let Allison fuss for too long. It make my anxiety go up. Taking a shower killed the anxiety for me. I turned on the monitor real low and took a nice hot shower. It was a good time for me. Allison never went back to sleep so after 45 mins of her fussing I got her up. I think I will take showers more often to drown her out. Now don't think I am a bad mom, I just know when my daughter needs to sleep and I need a little time to myself.

Happy Anniversary

Here is a recent picture of us. We forgot the camera last night.

Kyle and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary last night. We went out to dinner at Rays Boat house http://www.rays.com/new/?p=1. We had a great time just chatting and eating good food. I can hardly believe we have been married 4 years. I told Kyle last night I feel like we have been married a lot longer than that. We are doing really well and just loving being married.

This past week has been a little busy so we have not seen much of each other except in the passing. Monday I went to the Dr's and found out I had fluid in my left lung and that is why I had been so sick on the weekend. I am doing a lot better today. I am on medication which has helped. On Wednesday while grocery shopping and trying to get stuff ready for Easter Kyle called and told me my niece Bailey was at Children's Hospital with Appendicitis. Of course I needed to go see her. I had my appendix taken out when I was 13 so I wanted to reassure her it was going to be OK. She had the surgery at midnight and is doing well. We are hoping she will be able to go home tonight. Today is Good Friday and I am hoping the weather gets a lot nice for Easter Sunday. It will be nice to be able to hang out with Kyle and family this weekend. I am always looking forward to the weekends because that is when we get to see Kyle more and be a family. Our lives can be very crazy at times.

Happy ST Patricks Day

Today started off pretty well. I am still sick and did not sleep well. I was wondering what will I do with Allison today. This morning we made a shake together. Too bad it wasn't green. I then asked Allison is she wanted to paint. I usually strip her down for painting but she was already stripped down due to a wet diaper i proceeded to get the paint out. It was a fun time. I think Allison's hands started to turn green. After that we took a quick bath. Yep it was quick because since Allison got the rodavirus a while back she has not wanted to take baths. She cried the whole time. I was even in the bath with her. After bath we decided to get the play-doah out. It was a fun morning until we had to go to the visit Dr Blume. Actually Allison enjoys visiting the Dr's office. She lets Dr Blume look in her ears, throat and nose. She never cries and Dr Blume says most kids her age cry the whole time. This time going to the Dr was for Mommy. Allison smiled the whole time while Dr Blume checked my throat, lungs, ears and nose. Once again I caught something from either Allison or other kids I am around. I have congestion on my left side ear and nose. I have a little bit of crud in my left lung. I asked the Dr. is this normal for a mom to get so sick in a the past 4 months. He said it is normal because my immune system is not used to all the germs I come in contact with. I will say it has not been a fun year at home with all of us sick. I am looking forward to spring and summer. OK, off to inhaling my inhaler and then a long nap. Have a HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY. REMEMBER, only those who are Irish should ware green or you will get pinched.

I have re-joined our club

Today was such a great day out with Allison. I love days when all goes well, don't we all? This morning I was suppose to watch my friends daughter Eva but she was sick. I was a little worried that I might not have any thing to do today. I decided to take Allison to the Columbia Athletic Club so she could check out the kids club. The kids club is a place I will be dropping her off when I work out. I am so excited to start exercising again. As we entered into the play area Allison was in ah of every thing. The first thing she went for was a baby doll, then she colored, and then had a little snack. After we got all that done we headed over to Mill Creek town center and we bough Allison's friend Chloe a birthday present. Chloe is going to be 4 years old this year so we had to think of a special gift for her. I then headed over to my favorite coffee place the Spotted Cow. I ran into a friend from Allison's music class and chatted while Allison played. Even though it was a rainy day in Seattle I seemed to keep Allison a little entertained. Its nice to have time outside of the house with her. She enjoyed running around the town center and playing at the spotted cow. Time is going by so fast.

After Alison's nap today she helped me set the table and cook dinner. kyle and I always ask our selves how did we get such a great little girl who is so eager to help and cook? I just thank God every day for her precious little spirit.
