California Here we Come

Allison and I are off to Cali for a little vacation. We are heading down to LA to visit my good friend Gina and her family. I am so excited to get out of this horrible weather and spend much of my time outside. While we are gone Kyle will be putting in new hardwood floors, in the kitchen and dining area. Allison and I will be coming back to a new home. Talk to you soon.

Veggie spray

if you can't buy organic produce, you need to make sure you wash it thoroughly. Use this spray to make sure your fruit and vegetables are squeaky clean. tags following this comment-->

1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 Tbsp. baking soda
20 drops of grapefruit seed extract Combine all ingredients in a large container. Then, transfer to a spray bottle with a pump. Spray mixture on produce, and rinse thoroughly after 5 to 10 minutes.

Happy Earth Day

Your probably asking, what is Terra going to say? Well Its earth day and I just want to encourage you all to change some of your ways of living. This past year Kyle and I decided to slowly change things in our home. Some of those things we try are, not to use paper towels and we substitute them with cloth, we are changing our lighting around our house to save energy and

we do compost with our food, yard waste and shredded paper. Our yard has horrible soil so we hope in the future we can do a compost in our yard but right now we have the garbage guys pick it up.

I do feel like i am helping out as best as I can. So why am I writing today? Well i watched Oprah and she had a lot of information about certain chemicals we find in our home. As a mother this bothers me a great deal. I have slowly been getting rid of my old cleaning supplies and buying earth friendly ones. I'm not totally sold on them yet because I feel when I clean with bleach things are getting really cleaned. After watching the show I looked at my shampoo and saw what I was putting in my hair, yuk. I believe they clean a car engine with some of the ingredients. Anyways, i decided to go on my arbonne website and see their products. I use their face wash but I have never bought any thing else from them. I checked out the baby products and I am sold. I am now sold on buying organic products for my hair and my baby girls hair, not matter the cost. I just can not imagine having her grow up with all these chemicals going in her little body. The good thing is I do feed her organic foods as much as i can. Oh, and I also got a great receipt off Oprah for my vegetables. I want to be able to spray the crap off them because I thought I was cleaning them with water and found out that H2o does not help, ugh.

I'm not writing to say lets be earth people. I'm writing because I want to be educated on what I eat and what my daughter eats. Don't get me wrong I can't do it all but I feel the more I learn and I slowly change things, life does get a little better. Oh how i look forward to the day i meet Jesus and I wont have to worry about things I eat or what i put on my body. Have a blessed Earth Day.

Spring or Winter?

Is it Spring or Winter today? Well it should be Spring time but for some reason it decided to snow in mid April. I can hardly believe it. They said it was going to snow but I never believe them. Tonight we met Kyles parents for dinner at the spaghetti factory and the snow kept coming down. I traded cars with Kyle on the way home so he drove my car with Allison in it and I drove his Subaru. Look at what happened when Kyle came down our hill and into our drive way? He slid to the side. I'm glad it was him and not me. We then decided to dress Allison up her in a snow suite, boots and gloves. It was getting late but we just could not pass this snow up. Kyle played outside while mom took pictures. She had a blast. This was the first time she wore boots and kept her mittens on. She kept laughing and just thought it was a great day.

First popsicle

Today after our shower Allison said she had to "poopoo." I then asked her, "do you want to sit on the potty?" She said, "yes" I taught her how to hold herself up while on the big potty. I also held her so she would not fall in. After a few farts she finally let go. I was so very proud of her. I told her she gets a wonderful treat, her first popsicle. She had so much fun eating it, we had to take a bath afterwards. She isn't into potty training yet, but when she asks to go on the potty I do not hesitate to let her. Oh how I look forward to the day when we will not have to wear diapers.

Mommy and Me. Love my child.

I can only imagine What it will be like When I walk By your side I can only imagine What my eyes will see When your face Is before me I can only imagine [Chorus:]Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all I can only imagine I can only imagine When that day comes And I find myself Standing in the Son I can only imagine When all I will do Is forever Forever worship You I can only imagine[Chorus]I can only imagine [x2]I can only imagine When all I will do Is forever, forever worship you

I love this song and yesterday it came on the radio and brought tears to my eyes. I thought of my grandpa. He no longer has to imagine what it will be like to meet Jesus. My grandpa Reinholt Kling died April 12, 2008. He was an amazing, honest, hard working and loving man. He loved Jesus with all his heart. I miss him already but and very joyful that he is walking with Jesus.
It was good to see family again. It amazes me how we have all grown up so fast. I miss seeing my cousins like I did when I was little. We always had summers together in Moses Lake. Seeing my Cousin Shawn was the best. We used to get into trouble together. Plus when I was single I visited him a couple of times and he came to visit me as well. My prayer is that those who did not know Christ then know him now after Grandpas death. It was nice to hear people come up and say thank you to me for saying the words I did. I learned who was saved and that meant a lot to me. My grandpa impacted a lot of people. Now, I just hope I can read the bible as much as he did.

Fun Night with Good Friends

Last night we had a wonderful dinner with the Van Liew's. After Some good food and wine we were ready to hit the local playground. The kids had a blast. So did Tamara and I. Tamara and I could not stop laughing when we tried to hang up-side down on the bars. We are very old. The blood kept rushing to my head and we couldn't figure out how to get up. As a kid we both enjoyed the bar and turning around on it. As and adult we both get sick very easy. One of my funny moments is when I tried to get up and i totally nailed (kicked) Tamara in the arm. I was laughing so hard I couldn't get up on the bar again. Its so much fun to spend time with friends you can be a kid with. Playgrounds some how bring the little kid out of you. Allison, Keith and Chloe enjoyed the swings most of the time. Kyle took pictures and well Phil got stuck pushing the kids. hee hee. Afterwards we headed back to Tamara's house for dessert and then home to bed. Thanks for the great night Van Liews. Next time it will be at our house w/ no kids.
Check out our fun video.

Saying Goodbye Is Hard to do

Here is Allison and Grandpa Kling one year ago

Allison gets her blue eyes from Grandpa Kling

This past weekend Kyle, Allison and I headed over to Moses Lake to visit my grandpa. We left on Friday during Allison's nap hoping she would sleep, nope not our child. Allison decided a 30min nap was good enough for her. We got their around 5pm and settled into our friends condo. I was very nervous to see my grandpa. Everyone said he looks dead while sleeping. As we arrived my grandma told us he was asleep. I checked in on him and just about died. He did look dead. My grandpa has lost a lot of weight and is in a lot of pain. He had dementia and is not eating much. What gives me hope is that he loves Jesus with all his life. He has wanted to go and be with the Lord for the last 10 years. My grandpa also has bad arthritis so they have a patch on him to help keep the pain away. It saddens me to see this but thankful I know my grandpa will be with the Lord.

During our stay I got the chance to lay my hands on him multiple times and just pray. I also got to read to him Psalm 23 and many more. I got to rub his little head which I always did as a kid. I got to hug him and talk to him. The only time he remembered me is when I rubbed his head. He got to see Allison one more time too. I am so glad I got my grandpa and Allison on Video together a year ago. I want her to know how much he loved his family and most importantly JESUS.

Although this was a tough weekend for my family and me I know that the Lord is with us all and we will make it through. This week my grandpa will be transferred from his home to a facility to help him eat. oh, he stopped eating that is why he ways about 90lbs now. I hope it will help him get stronger and if it doesn't then I hope the Lord will take his pain. Love you Grandpa.

Human Trafficking

Have you heard of Human Trafficking? What is it? Human trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery. Victims of human trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion, for the purpose of sexual exploitation or forced labor Victims are young children, teenagers, men and woman.

Approximately 1.2 million children are trafficked each year around the world. Between 50% and 60% of the children who are trafficked into sexual slavery are under the age of 16. Statistics also demonstrate that between 600,000 to 800,000 persons are victims of human trafficking across international borders, and million others fall victim within their own territory. In the United States around 14,500 to 17,500 are trafficked within the borders.

This saddens me a great deal. The past few months our church and hosted meetings about this issue. This has been on my heart for a long time. Did you know that it is happening here in the US? It could be happening just around you. It saddens my heart that children at the age of 2 are sold it to sex trafficking. You might be saying, this wouldn't happen to my me. Well I heard a recent story were a 15 year old girl ran outside to say goodbye to her friend who was leaving town, guess what? Someone jumped out of the trunk and kidnapped her. Her friend sold her into sex trafficking. This scares me and we need to be more aware of what is going on around us. My prayer right now is how can I get more involved in this. There are so many ways. If you are interested check out my websites that are connected to this blog.

The reason I am writing this is because I want you to know and to be aware of it happening here in Washington and all over the US. I am educating myself on this subject more. I encourage you to do the same. Pray for these children who are being sold into slavery.

Loving Jesus

When we have children we want to teach them about the love of Jesus. This week with Allison has been a little tough of me. Today though once again she stole my heart. As we got home from school she wanted to read all her library books. I told her we had returned them this morning and she had to pick a book from her shelf. She picked one up and said Jesus. I have never heard her say the word "Jesus" We read about baby Jesus. This past week she has been also asking me to pray before I put her down for a nap. I say a little prayer like this,

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
Bless the bed that Allison lies upon
four corners to her bed, four angles around her head,
one to watch, one to pray and two to guide her through the day.

After i said that she said "chlo chlo" I was not sure why she said that because we have not seen Chloe since Sunday. I asked her if she wanted me to pray for Chloe, she said, yes? Chloe is 2 years older then Allison, age doesn't matter to Allison. She adores Chloe. I pray that one day they will be good friends. OK, so what 21 month old asks her Mommy to pray for her daughters little friend? At these times my heart melts and I know the Lord is shining in her little heart. I am so thankful for my little girl. The Lord teaches me so much through her. Now if I can just not worry about life so much I wouldn't stress as a mom so much. Thank you Jesus for my little girl who loves to pray. May she always have a heart for YOU.
