Happy Birthday Jesus

Allison first thing Christmas morning.

Another baby doll

A camera which she loves to use.

This year I enjoyed Christmas a lot. First because Allison was learning it was about Jesus birth, then because we had Christmas at our house so we got to stay home all day and last because we had both families over for dinner. The snow prevented us from doing a lot but I was so excited to have our families over. Next year we wont be hosting Christmas dinner but It was a joy to do it this year.

Once again Allison got spoiled by Mommy, Daddy and Santa. She got her pink ball, a camera, clothes and so much more. She loved opening up presents. When my family arrived she got another elmoe, an easel and another baby. I don't think little girls can have enough babies. Its like shoes for the young. After opening all the presents we had a great dinner and then for dessert we sang "Happy birthday to Jesus." Kyle and I want to remind Allison that Christmas is not all about Santa and presents but most of all about "JESUS." I hope we do a good job at it.

Christmas Eve

Allison's way of saying cheese

We had a great time on Christmas eve. We started around 430pm at our church, then headed home to eat some chili and open presents. Allison got spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa Hutchison and Uncle Chad and Aunt Sandra. She was so into opening presents this year. I had a great time watching her. She got some great presents like a leap frog book, a American Bitty Baby and this cute night gown. As soon as she opened the night gown she stripped her clothes off and put it on. It came with a nice robe too. I think I will have to find some pink fuzzy slippers to go with it. Thank you all for the great gifts. Most of all thank you for loving on our family.

Hiding tissues

How is it that kids can say the funniest thing to make you laugh? The other night I gave Allison some tissues for her nose. I said you can use this in the middle of the night if your nose starts to run. I also left her extra ones on her dresser. The next morning when she woke up I wiped her nose and gave her an extra one to carry around. All of a sudden I saw her stuffing it in her pants. I said Allison, "what are you doing? The tissue is for your nose." Allison said, " Mommy, I am hiding it in my bumb." I cracked up so hard I had tears in my eyes. When I took her night pull up off I found the rest of her tissues in her diaper. She must of been saving them for later. I was wondering why her diaper seemed so big. Once again Allison surprises me with her creativity. I love you bug.

Stole My heart

Today Kyle, Allison and I decided to venture out to Walgreen's by our house. It was cold and the snow covered our boots. I had run out of my prescription a few days ago and they just filled it today. Anyways, we got to the top of the driveway to Walgreen's and I told Kyle I got stuck here last night with the car and then it happened, I fell hard down on the snow. I landed on my right arm really hard. I got up crying because it hurt so bad. I felt like I might of broke it but thankfully I didn't. I kept crying and I could not stop. Kyle hugged me and Allison said, "its OK to cry mommy, I cry like that sometimes too." OK, that made me cry more. How sweet her heart is for her own mom. Being pregnant, falling and then having your little one say those sweet words to me, it stole my heart for the day. Especially after feeling like a bad mom the last few days because Allison has been very defiant. I am so grateful for these little moments. I did not want to forget it. I am doing fine after the fall. I am a little sore and my head hurts a little but I am doing well.

Winter Wonderland

Oh how I loved playing in the snow as a child. Now Allison gets to enjoy it. Kyle and I can do without being cooped up in the house all day, but Allison does enjoy getting out in the snow. We played at our park down the street and Allison made a snow angle and slid down the slide. She wanted to build another snowman but it was getting cold so we came inside for some hot coco and marsh mellows. Allison has never had coco or marsh mellows so this was a nice treat.

I enjoy the snow right after it falls. It is so peaceful and quiet. Its fresh and soft. I wish we had sleds so we can sled down our hill. Allison has been asking to sled down with all the big kids. Maybe later when we can get out on the main roads. Its hard to tell her we can not go and buy one at her age. She has a little break down not understanding why we can not just drive to the store and buy one. Maybe we will use a garbage bag like I did when I was little. Have a wonderful Day.

Let it snow

Our first snow of the year. Right before Church on Sunday Allison wanted to go out in the snow. Kyle took her outside and she loved it. I am so glad I got her a snow outfit, we are defiantly getting some use out of it. Anyways, she asked daddy to build a snowman. We had to get to church so this is what Kyle built her. I had to laugh. The snowman was the perfect size for her though.

Cookie Time

Most of you know I am not much of a baker. This year I wanted to make cookies with Allison. We made chocolate snow balls and the starbucks cranberry bars, yum yum. Being pregnant I can not seem to get enough. We had a great time.

Christmas Party

Finally Kyle and I got out for another date. We usually try to go out once a month. I know some people do either every other week or every week. We love hanging out as a family so we like to do a lot of family stuff. Plus Kyle works all day and wants to hang out with us. Anyways, Friday we dropped Allison off and Grandma and Grandpa Hutchison's. Kyle and I then headed out to the space needle for his work party. It was a nice night to get out and be together. Allison stayed at Grandmas so we got to sleep in the next day. Allison had fun with Grandma too. They ventured over to GG's house (great grandmas) and had hot dogs, road a train, made crafts and saw Santa.

It looks a lot like Christmas

Daddy looking for the tree in our stuffed garage.
Daddy dragging the tree up the stairs.
Mom cant help because she is pregnant. :)

We started a new tradition in our home. The tree goes up the day after thanksgiving. It took most of the day which was funny. You can not get a lot done when you have a 2 1/2 year old around. Allison was very excited to decorate the tree. She loved getting all the ornaments out and then asking us to put them on the tree. I love decorating our home for Christmas it seems to make our house so much more warm and cozy. We listened to some good Christmas music, set up the manger and even read some Christmas books. This year we are going to steal a idea from our friends the Van Liew and make Jesus a cup cake for his birthday. I want Allison to know that Christmas isn't all about the gifts but its all about Jesus birth. I know this will be a great Christmas. I am looking forward to a new and better year in 2009.

Friends over for Dinner

Allison and Chloe eating together at the small table

On Friday after thanksgiving we had our good friends the Van Liews over for dinner. It was a spur of the moment thing, but we are glad they accepted. We have not seen them in months so it was good to connect with old friends. Its nice to have friends around like them. Especially when you can just pick up where you left off. Our families have been so busy with life we just have not been able to connect. We had a good time with Pizza, Wine and root beer. The kids had a great time as well. One thing about Tamara's kids is they love to be naked where ever they are. Allison just adores Chloe and loves her buddy Keith. They all made a huge mess in Allison's room and down stairs. I am not used to having a lot of kids over so it was fun.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am very thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for Christ loving me when I can be so unloving. I am thankful for my daughter and our new baby. I am very thankful for my husband who has been taking such good care of me during this time of sickness.
For thanksgiving this year we decided to spend it with the Hutchison side. Kyle and I headed to his parents house early so Allison could take a nap before the long day. We had such a good time and it was so relaxing. I got to talk to most of the family members and play with Allison. Kyle helped out his mom with all the meal settings. Allison enjoyed seeing Grandmas Christmas tree. She kept playing with the little baby Jesus. The food was great and the dessert was amazing. Kyles Aunt Shelly makes all the dessert for their family parties. She is so great because she thinks of those who have allergies. She made uncle Chad a pecan little pie w/out pecans and she had sherbet for all of us. I cheated because I had to have her pecan pie. I am not big on pumpkin but her pecan pie is to die for. Thank you all for such a great thanksgiving.

While Mommy was away

This is our backpacking two man tent.
Daddy and Allison saying "cheese"

Baby dolls hanging up on the top of the tent. :)

This weekend I was able to go on our Woman's Retreat with our church. It was held in Leavenworth so I did not want to miss it. I had a great time bonding with my friends and learning a lot about my relationship with God. I could write my thoughts but I am not ready to share. Anyways, Kyle had Allison and he decided to put up the tent in the house. She loves to build forts and play with her dolls. She has so much fun with Daddy. Its a great thing to do when you get stuck in the house all day. I am glad they had a good time.

Today Allison and I are staying inside. When I got home from my retreat Allison had her first cold this season. You would never know she was sick buy the energy she has. Mom wants to stay home because I think I am catching a little bit of it. We both have been blowing our noses all morning. I do get a little board and I am not sure what to do with her today. She is worn down today so I am letting her watch TV but that concerns me. If anyone has ideas about what to do with a sick kid let me know.

12 Weeks Pregnant

The baby is laying down looking toward the right with its left hand by its mouth. Baby hutch is 3 inches long at this point.

Hello everyone. Most of you know I am pregnant again. I got pregnant in September during my intense sickness issue. I am still dealing with food allergies but right now I am sick with all day morning sickness. We have not posted any thing about the baby because I wanted to make sure I made it past the 9 week mark. That is when I found out i miscarried the other baby. Anyways, We went in for an ultra sound and here is our little one at 12 weeks. My due date is May 28 but the ultra sound said May 24Th. All I know is I hope to carry this one full term. This little one has made me so sick. During the ultra sound it was so cute. Baby Hutch was moving its arms and legs all over the place.

You know what gets me is that they will do an abortion at 24 weeks. My baby here at 12 weeks has legs, arms, heart, brain and more. I wonder if people saw their baby first if they would still want an abortion. Children are a gift from God. It breaks my heart to think anyone would just get ride of one. These thoughts went through my head during the ultra sound. I am so excited now and seeing this little one on the TV has made it more real for me now. Now if baby hutch would just stop making me so sick. Keep us in your prayers.

Oh, and Allison is so excited about the baby. She kisses my tummy all the time and she walks around with her dolls saying, baby be born. She is going to be a great big sister. I look forward to meeting this baby.

Trick or treat

So sorry for not getting this out sooner. I have been very busy and Allison does not allow me on the computer as much anymore. On Halloween we went to my in-laws house. Allison has a few friends around their house that are her age. She in enjoyed going trick or treating. She did not last long that night because she did not take a good nap that day. We got her dressed and she headed out with Grandma, Daddy and friends. I stayed back with Bob to help pass out the candy. I found out Allison did not say trick or treat, but she did say thank you each time.

Carving Pumpkins

Kyle Getting Ready

Allison scooping up the seeds.

We finally carved our pumpkins, well kyle carved them. Allison was not as into it this year like she was last year. She did enjoy playing with the left overs in the sink. Kyle and I enjoy the old traditional carving pumpkin faces. We have a kit but it takes too much time. These turned out great. Thanks for all you heard work Dad.

spider art

I am trying to do art projects with Allison. It only last about 5 minutes but she loves to paint and get all dirty. My friend Tamara bought me a art project book and it has given me a lot of ideas. The hard part it is mostly for 3 and up but I take some of their ideas and make them short and sweet for us. We painted small paper plates black and glued on some eyes. They mommy punched holes on the side to make legs and mommy also threaded the legs in. Allison loves seeing them hang from our hutch. This week we are going to paint our small pumpkins. I have to keep her busy some how.

Foot Ghost

I enjoy fall time. I love doing art projects with Allison during this season. This past week we did our annual foot ghosts. I started it last year and she just loves to paint herself so I did it again this year. You paint your feet white and then step on black paper. Allison enjoyed painting my feet as well. After doing our feet I let her go full force and she decided to paint her hands and body. I ended up putting her in the bath that day.

First Haircut

Such a long face.

Isn't she all grown up now?

I decided it was time for Allison to get her hair trimmed. I have never cut it and she never lost any of it when she was a baby. IT was getting too crazy for me to brush every morning and it was becoming a constant fight. So I called my friend April and asked if she could trim it. I think April should her own salon and cut kids hair. She is really good at it and has major patience with the kids. Allison just sat there with no smiles. We then just hung out and talked with April and Grady. Gibson her oldest son was at school. It was nice to have the house quiet with just the two but I think Allison missed playing with Gibson. Thanks April for cutting her hair, it looks great.

Pumpkin Patch

Daddy looking for the perfect pumpkin
Wow that is a small one.
Allison picked this one out for her new baby brother or sister

Saturday at the last minute we decided to head to the pumpkin patch at stockerfarms. Kyle and I have been going their for the past 6 years. The best part is it has been sunny every time. We could not miss the great weather this weekend. We even invited Grandma Nancy to come this year. Allison had so much fun. We also spent some times on a train ride, playing in corn and getting our face painted. For

some reason I forgot to take a picture of Allison getting her face painted. She got a little pumpkin on her face. It was so cute. I never really like fall time but since I have had a child it has made it so much more worth it. I love the fall colors and the great weather we are having.
