My Birthday

daddy Allison and quwally

35 1/2 weeks pregnant

For my birthday I asked Kyle to take the day off. We decided to go to the Tulip festival since the weekends are way packed. We picked a great day too. Kyle and I had not been the Tulip Town since we were dating. It was a short time in the little area but we enjoyed seeing all the different colors.

We then got into our car and decided to head over to Deception Pass.
We had no agenda for the day so it was nice to just drive and see the amazing scenery we live in. I don't remember the last time I had been to deception pass. We took a quick stop on the bridge and then headed to Oak Harbor for lunch. After Lunch we decided to stop at a local state park and play on the beach. Can I just say what an amazing state we live in? God beauty takes my breath away. We played on the beach and looked for crabs. After the beach we headed to the ferry boats. Allison does not remember being on a ferry boat so we thought it would be a great day to take her. She absolutely loved it.

I had such a great day with my family. I love the weather we are having and I look forward to this summer doing more little drives like this when Caleb arrives. I will say that Kyle and I were so exhausted from the day but our little girl was like the energize bunny, she kept going and going and going.

Sunday Birthday Celebration

Dad and I, yes my dad never seems to smile but I love him dearly.

Kyle and I had the day together. We decided to go to the early church and then head over to a local dinner called the sugar shack. It is down to earth, cheap home cooking. Kyle and I always drive by the place and finally decided it was a good time to try it out. It was worth the stop. We then headed home and Kyle started to paint Caleb's room. I took a needed long nap. After a few hours we headed to the mall to meet our families for my birthday celebration. We ate dinner at Macaroni Grill, which is one of my favorite restaurants. When I lived in Atlanta I would take visitors to this restaurant. We had a great time and I even got presents from the family. Thank you all for making it such a great birthday.

Celebrating my Birthday

On Saturday Kyle and I decided to start celebrating my birthday. We dropped off Allison at Grandmas and headed out to Redmond Town Center. I have not been there in a long time. We ate at the Dessert Fire and we had tickets to the Gold Class Cinemas in Redmond. Kyles parents gave them to us at Christmas and we decided this would be a great time to use them. As we arrived we were told you need to make reservations, but thankfully someone had cancelled. We then were able to watch the movie the Soloist. They seated us in the lounge area before the movie and took our order. Kyle and I had already eaten so we did not order any food, we just ordered drinks. They preceded to take us then to the theater and seated us in the second row and showed us how to page them. My first page was for a blanket, yep you can even get a blanket here. It was so much fun. It was like watching a movie in your own home. I will say it is expensive but since we did not pay a penny why not go. We thought no one would be at this theater but the place was hoping. Thank you Kyle for always making me feel so special. I have more to come very soon.

Sunshine

Picking weeds/Flowers

Funny shot with Mommy

The last two days have been so nice and sunny. I could not waste my time in doors so I took Allison out on both days. Monday we went to a local park and today we played outside by our house. She was such a ball to hang out with. She ran around the park playing soccer and doing ballerina tricks. There is just something about kids and the sunshine. Thank you Jesus for those 2 days, now can we have more, please?

Calebs Baby Shower

The wonderful flowers. I love Spring time.

My Best Friend Amy

My wonderful first Born
On Sunday my good friends Tamara Van Liew, Amy Aldworth and April Sargeant held a baby shower for me at my house. We had a great time just sitting around talking and enjoying the great food. Tamara made an amazing cake for us. The best part is I had all my good friends and family come. We missed the few who could not make it but we had so much fun. We did not play games because I am not a game girl but Tamara asked some fun questions like; Which of the 5 senses to babies develop first? How many Diapers do a new born go through in a day? Games are nice but I just wanted to hang out with my family and good friends. I am truly blessed to have such a close nit of friends and very blessed to be close to both sides of my family. Thank you all for the wonderful new clothes and gifts for Caleb.
April Sargeant, Rachel Harris, Myself and my friend Jen Brown. We are missing another pregnant mom because she had to leave early. Lots of lovin going on.

He Has Risen

Good Morning

Easter 2009 was very busy for us. We got up, hunted for some eggs, off to church, then to grandma Hutchisons house then the to Papas house. We had a great time. Allison was really into the egg hunt this year. She loved getting stickers and money. She got a little candy but mom only let her have a few pieces. Church was amazing this morning as well. Pastor Chris preached about surprises and when was the last time we had one? How did we feel? He talked about Jesus showing up in many different places and the disciples were surprised. I am so thankful we have an amazing God who loves us to die for us. I am so unworthy of His love but he continues to bless me beyond my means. Thank you Jesus for all that you did and that you are continuing to do for us. I pray my daughter will come to know you as I do. Thank you Jesus for Life, Hope, Forgiveness and Love. Kyle and I continue to share with Allison about Jesus and she hasn't grasped the whole death and our Risen Christ but she is loving and learning more about Jesus. I am so thankful for a child's innocence.
Kyles Aunt is an amazing cook. She made this cake that looks like spagettie, gluten free. It was very yummy. Thank you Aunt Shelly for always thinking of those who have food allergies.

A day of sunshine

32 weeks pregnant

Testing the waters

Today after church we decided to go to the Edmond's Water front. I can not waste a beautiful day like today was by staying inside. We had a great time eating lunch and just walking around on the beach. Allison enjoying taking her boots off and putting her feet in the sand. It was a fun family day.

Allison agrees that they even taste good.

Allison and I have been doing a lot of fun projects around the house. We both enjoy it so much. I feel bad because daddy never gets to do a lot with us, especially making Holiday stuff. Anyways, i decided that we make sugar cookies after dinner and decorate them together. I did not make my own dough because it was a last minute thing and plus I am 32 weeks pregnant and I have no energy for all that. We had a great time decorating them. I needed to practice my icing technique's because I want to make Allison's pooh cake by hand this year. Lets hope I am able to do it.

Craft Day at Home

Today I decided it was a stay home pj day. I did not want to do any thing. I think I am getting into the nesting faze of my pregnancy. As I was watching TV on the Today show, they showed things to do with your kids during the recession. Not sure about the recession so much but we took some of their ideas. We took all Allison's broken crayons and put them into a muffin pan and melted them. It was a lot of fun for her. You melt them at 325 for about 8 mins. They come out all mixed together. We call them the muffin crayons. Now I don't have to replace them for awhile. Allison loved it and thought her new crayons were great. I do not recommend melting white or yellow. For some reason they don't show up on paper unless you use black paper.

After that we decided to make some Easter treasure boxes. My friend Tamara got Allison a craft book last year and I found some fun crafts to do with her. Allison loved to paint the box but then she started to paint her hands and stomach.
I was OK with that since I knew we were not going any where. Mom ended up painting the boxes and later this weekend Allison will glue the fun things on top of them. After the painting we headed to the bath where Allison made the water turn pink. It was so nice to relax at home and stay in our pj's most of the day. After nap time (Allison ended up not sleeping) we played bowling alley in our hall way with a old ball and blocks. I was so tired of entertaining her all day
but it was a fun thinking of things to do at home.

The Lords Prayer

Here is a cute video of Allison saying the Lords Prayer. Kyle usually puts Allison to bed every night and over the past few months he has taught her to memorize the Lords Prayer. I had to get it on video before she forgot it. She loves to say it and I can not get enough of her saying it.
