Food Allergies

I have not written in awhile because 1. I seem to forget my camera each place we have gone and 2. I have been very sick. This past summer has been a tough one for me. With loosing loved ones and the baby. I have also been very sick. I recently had some testing on my stomach and bowels. My Dr could not find anything wrong with me. I was still getting sick after I ate dinner each day. This was tough on me because I love food. I also was unable to be a mom and wife to my family. Finally with no answers I called my natural path Dr Ranheim. I was going to have to wait 3 months before I could see if. The Lord helped me on that. They had an opening right away so I took it. I had to do more stool and blood testing. These were not fun times for me. All my food was just going right through me. I had no nourishment in me and no energy to do any thing. Well this past week I got my results. They found two different bacteria in my stool and a lot of food allergies. I am glad we found the results but now I have to clean my system out by not eating any of the foods I am highly allergic to for 7 days and then slowly 1 by one bring them back into my life and see what happens to my body. Here are my results
High- gluten, grapes, cottage cheese, Milk,Rye,Tomato's,Watermelon, egg white and yolk, garlic and Wheat. My medium results are almonds, barley, cabbage, cantaloupe, cauliflower, coffee, cucumber, grapefruit, lettuce, green pepper, chili pepper, soybean, strawberry, walnuts, yeast(brewers and bakers).
With this new information I have to hope for the best. This will be a new way of living for me and I believe its going to be tough at first but I am determined to change my eating to feel better. The great thing is I did find out the restaurants have gluten-free menus. This helps me a lot since I will have to go gluten free for awhile.
I am worn down by all this but hope full my body will adjust back to where it should be. I am learning a lot about ready labels and figuring out that we have a lot of crap in our food. I want to be healthy and I want my family to be healthy. I think I am going to have to go back to home cooking from scrap. Come now Jesus so I can enjoy food again. :)

Is it Christmas Yet?

Yesterday Allison and I had a great day together. We spent a few hours at the Lake and then the park. We both took a long needed nap as well. Kyle had a meeting last night so Allison and I went to Costco. Can you believe they have Christmas stuff up already? I am not done enjoying this amazing weather; anyways, Allison wanted to walk by all the new toys and lights. As we were walking she kept saying she wanted the baby doll and then the barbie with the horse. I said, "you will have to ask Santa for that." Allison said, "no grandma buy it." I just had to laugh. I think Allison has grandma Nancy wrapped around her finger. Just wait grandma Allison's list is getting very long.

Update on potty. Allison is doing really well. She does not complain and some days she actually likes to sit on the potty. Today she went in an outhouse which surprised me. I about threw-up because the smell was so bad, but Allison was very excited that she went potty in a big potty. Way to go big girl not even some grown-ups go in the outhouse. :)

baby sling

Today Allison found a pink Bella band made by my friend April. I was packing up her maternity close she lent me when Allison came upon the band. I told her she could use it as a sling for her baby. She went to grab her baby Kai Kai (named after my niece Natachias dog Kai) Allison thought it was fun to carry her around in the sling.

OK, so potty training had a set back yesterday. We had a party to go to and church. Allison had two accidents and now hates to even sit on the potty. I wonder if I did this too early? Today is a new day so lets hope things go better.

The day has ended

Yahoo my daughter has finally gotten it. She goes to the bathroom without mommy prompting her. Today was hard but I am so glad I finished through. The best part is when my husband came home and I said, "I'm exhausted you finish." Allison did so good today. We even took a short trip to grandmas house and as soon as we got there she went straight to the potty. She went twice at grandmas which was a shock to me. Now we are heading to bed and with no diapers. I really hope Allison gets the night time thing. I did read that if they are under 2 1/2 we should put her in pull-ups. I am going to see how it goes for a few nights and hold back on that. I feel like a crazy mom but I want it all done. It will be so nice not having to buy diapers. I am so excited. Allison, mommy and daddy are so proud of you, good job.

South Farm 47

Cheese3 Feet tall and a lot of love
On Wednesday my friend Christy and I headed to Farm 47 in Redmond. Allison has gone before with Grandma Nancy and had a great time. This week I wanted to check it out. You get to do fun things like; we learned about potatoes and vegetables and we got to dip up potatoes and take them home. The potatoes were so yummy. We also went on a tractor ride and we feed the goats. It is a fun time with your kids. You also get to do some fun crafts. Allison has never used scissors so this reminded me that I need to buy her some.
I believe they are open through October. Here are some fun pictures of our day.

2nd Day potty training

OK, can I just say that the first day was way easier on me. Maybe I did not get enough sleep. I totally knew that Allison would not want to sit on the potty today and I guessed right. This morning I caught her peeing and I grabbed her and put her on the pot. Then I turned my back later and she peed right outside. "mommy i pee pee" That always happens when I turn my back. At least this one was outside. A third time I caught her in the act and rushed her to her potty. Although I am trying to stay positive it is very draining too especially when your daughter does not want to sit on the potty. My friend Gina called and I told her what was going on. She told me to bribe Allison to sit on the potty. It worked and she peed a few times more on the potty. I even caught her trying to poop and that made it in the potty as well. I think she is so used to standing up while pooping and when she has to sit its a new thing for her. I am going to keep it up. I think today is going to be long but I am determined to get her trained.

First day accomplished

Today went better then expected. I read the book "toilet training in less then a day" I have had a few friends that have used and it and they were very successful. This book helped me a lot. I also had a friend April tell me some fun things she did with her son. She told me to have Allison throw all her diapers away. She put them in a bag and dragged them downstairs to the garbage. We then watched a little potty video given to me by my friend Tamara. Then we put on panties and started our day. Allison had 3 accidents this morning and each time she told me she had to pee-pee but I did not get her to the potty in time. Before nap we tried one more time. After nap she woke up with dry panties and sat on the potty and went. She went a total 5 times today in the potty. I am so proud of her. She and I had the best day. We made this a fun time rather then a stressful time. Now I am hoping for a good report tomorrow. I am not holding my breath but I think she will do just fine. I am OK with accidents now that I have wood flooring. :)

Family in Town

This past weekend my cousin Shawn, his wife Mindy and two boys Noah and Trey came for a really short visit. They arrived Saturday morning and we decided to take them down town for the day. We started out at the Science Center, then headed over to the Mona rail and walked to Pike Place Market. The day was so amazing and so perfect to be in the City. We had a great time seeing the sights and playing in the sun. After a long day in town we dropped Shawn and Noah off at the Baseball game (Mariners vs New York Yankees), Mindy and Trey came home with us. Kyle made some great fish and potatoes. We enjoyed more time outside and we watched Trey rip up the road with Allison's bike. Kyle was like maybe I don't want a boy. Trey was so fun to watch. Allison missed a nap so she crashed hard around 8pm. I got some time to bond with Mindy. I feel we really connected on a lot of levels. She is so good for my cousin Shawn. She defiantly keeps the small town boy in check. Mindy and Trey headed out to pick up the boys. They only stayed in town for the day and headed back to Moses Lake to see my grandma and then back to Montana. Spending time with the Gunthers was a joy. Shawn is so funny to watch in a big city. I truly miss him a lot. Shawn and Mindy have been married 10 years and are expecting their 3rd Gunther baby. We are so happy for you all.

Potty Training has begun

Today I decided it was time to get Allison trained on the potty. So far she has had one great big poop in the potty and one pee pee accident. I am so proud of her. It is going to be a long few days but I'm ready for the challenge. I hope I can survive being in the house for two days. I know it will be fun to have kyle home on the 3rd day. Ok, second accident came.

A day at the Zoo

Allison on the tractor with her friend Skylar

On Friday my friend Christy and I decided to head to the zoo. The weather has been so nice I wanted to get out and enjoy it before it goes away. We got there right when It opened. I am not usually up that early but I am so glad we got there early. We got to see a lot of animals up close and we even saw the lions roar at each other. Allison is at the age were she really enjoys seeing them now. It was a fun day at the zoo. I hope to go back again this week or next before the great weather goes away. One of our favorite moments was being able to see the Giraffes walk across. They are an amazing animals. Next time we hope to feed them.We also got to see the bears. I have never seen the bears at the zoo. We always seem to miss them. Anyways, they were swimming in the water and it was so funny to watch these big creatures walk in the water and chase fish. Allison was a little scared so she stayed in the stroller. We then saw these amazing monkeys. They were so loud that is scared Allison a little. Allison does not like loud noises. As we got under the tree she warmed up and thought they look funny. These monkeys are called Siamangs (SEE-uh-mangs). After a long day of seeing some animals we headed to the carousel and rode the horses. They used to have real ponies to ride but not anymore. Allison had fun on it. I will say its not worth $2 dollars though. It was a nice treat for Allison and that is all that matters.

Please Help

Here is a little video of Allison asking someone to help her get the stick off the corn dog. It was so funny because we were all talking and she sat their patiently for some help. She loves hot dogs.

A Day at the Fair

Papa and Allison

Grandma and Grandpa Hutchison

Daddy and Allison enjoying a ride

Yesterday after church we headed out to Evergreen Fair. We met up with both sets of grandparents. It was fun this year because Allison was the right height to go on the rides. She had so much fun. We also walked around and looked at the animals and we enjoyed some yummy food too.Allison took over daddies corn dog. She kept eating and eating and eating. It was a lot of fun to watch. Kyle kept walking around looking for a the bigger corn dogs and each time he passed someone they had a bigger one then he did. I am still having stomach issues so I did not get to eat any thing. I guess I will have to wait for next year. :)
