Moments to Remember

Recently Allison has been saying comments to me about different things. One day while she was going potty she said, "mommy, come here. Look one big poopy and one small poopy." I just had to laugh. What is it with kids and their poop? She continues to look at it every time she goes.

On a lighter note:

Last night while I was driving it started to rain. When it gets stormy I have always shared my childhood story with her about the rain and thunder. Last night when it was thundering I said, "the angels are bowling tonight." When it started to rain I said, "God is watering his earth." She then happened to add to it by saying, "Mommy, God is watering the earth with a big water bucket. It is so big that the children are helping him water." How sweet it that? Allison is learning so much at preschool about the Lord. Her heart has become very sensitive and loving for others.

Last night I was sharing with her that there are people out there that are struggling and don't have food to eat and that we need to be praying for them. I then asked her how she can help. She got up from her chair and walked to the fridge and said, "We can give them some of our food." What an amazing girl.

I really hope that Kyle and I are teaching her how blessed we are, but we still need to bless others too. Our pastor asked the question a while back, "how are you showing God in your home?" This question has challenged me a great deal. I did not grow up with God in my home. I am determined to break that and show my kids Christ in our home. I fail every day but I show Allison that I am not perfect and I truly am trying my best. God gave me a wonderful daughter. Allison is teaching me to be humble, accepting and patient. I am truly blessed. Thank you Jesus for my children. Thank you Jesus that you use my children to teach me your truth every day. May I learn more about falling on my knees to you from them.

Rolling Over

I almost missed Caleb rolling over from his back to his tummy this morning. I was putting a movie in for Allison and Caleb was right beside me when i looked down to see him on his tummy, he then rolled over. I did not get to record it but it was a great moment for me to see. Way to go Caleb mommy is so proud of you.

Cartoon Picture

Kyle had a cartoon picture done of him at a Microsoft event. I had to add it to my blogg. It cracks me up because he just cut his hair and in the picture he looks bald. This looks nothing like my husband.

Calebs 4 month Check up

Today I took Caleb to the Dr for some shots. I have been worried about having a boy and giving him so many shots. Well I had a chance to talk to my Dr and they are going to spread the shots out. Today instead of 5 shots he got one which was combined. I am just so thankful for Dr Blume. He is a blessing to our family. Caleb did really well. He cried just for a second.

The past few weeks I have been very worried about Caleb. He has had a skin rash on different parts of his body. He did have cradle cap and that has decreased but the rash has gotten worse. I thought he might have eczema but today the looked under the microscope and found that it is still a fungus, what the heck? How does a baby get fungus? I clean him every other day, I change his sheets and clothes. Anyways, they told me to keep using the prescription they gave me for his cradle cap. What they don't know is I didn't use the prescription for the cradle cap. I used olive oil for that. Now I wish I would of listened to the Dr and continued the prescription. So now I have to put the ointment on for 3 weeks. I really hope it goes away, poor baby.
The good news is Caleb weighs 16lbs 3.25oz and is 26 inches long. He continues to be in the 90 percentile range for height and weight. He is such a great baby. I can not imagine my life without him and Allison. I thank Jesus every day for them. I am so happy he continues to grow and be healthy.

Amy's 40th Birthday Celebration

Saturday night Kyle and I met Amy, Kurt, Elke and Bryce in Bellevue to Celebrate Amy's 40th Birthday. Amy wanted Sushi and so we went to "I Love Sushi" on Lake Bellevue. It is in the old building Dukes used to be at. We had such a great time. Kyle knew a lot about sushi so everyone just went with what Kyle ordered. We also had sake. I did not like it. We ended up staying at the restaurant for a few hours. It was so much fun celebrating Amy's 40th. I even tried some sushi. I told Kyle that I want to go back.

I just saw this sign and laughed. I think some of us had too much sake.

The wonderful Husbands.

Best Friends.

After dinner we headed to Lincoln Square to bowl. This place was so great. You had to have reservations to go in. I think the best part about going out with good friends is you can let your hair down. Kyle mentioned to me that he enjoyed seeing me laugh a lot and have a good time. It is because these are my two best est friends that I know I can be myself with. Plus it was good to have a fun date with Kyle. We stayed out really late. I was very tired by the time we left but it was all worth it. Thank you Amy and Kurt for such a wonderful night. Thank you Brice and Elke for all the laughs. Thank you Kyle for loving me and my friends.

Bring it on.

Best Friends Having a blast

Check those babies out! Yep this is what happens when you don't have a baby to feed off you. I pumped on our way out and i filled a 5 oz bottle in about 1 minute.

Spokane Trip

Naked baby getting ready for the wedding.

Daddy and Son ready for the wedding.

My dad and his mom at the wedding.

Great Grandma feeding Caleb.

Labor Day weekend Kyle, Caleb and I drove to Spokane for my cousin Shilo's wedding. We were going to drive on Saturday but we decided at the last minute on Friday to head out. Allison stayed back and spent the night with Grandma Hutchison. Kyle, Caleb and I arrived at my uncles house in Moses Lake around 1130pm. Caleb slept the whole way. We got settled in the house with my parents and slept for a few hours. The next morning we headed over to Spokane and checked into the hotel.

The bride, my cousin Shilo and I.

After we got checked in and ready for the wedding. Kyle and I had a great time. First it was easy to just have one kid. That gave us a chance to social with family and take turns watching Caleb. The wedding was a lot of fun. It was a little hard to watch the slide show with pictures of my grandpa. It was also hard to see my grandma sitting in the front all by herself. It truly brought tears to my eyes. My grandma said to me, "if Grandpa was still alive, we would of been married 70 years." WOW! We all miss my grandpa dearly. I am so blessed to have such a big family. IT was a lot of fun to reconnect with them again.

Natachia and her boyfriend Alan

My dad and I during the father daughter dance.

Alan holding Caleb while we danced.

The reception was a lot of fun too. Kyle and I got to dance one time. I love dancing slow songs with Kyle. If they play Harry Connick Jr he always sings the songs to me. I just love my husband. During this trip it really gave us the opportunity to reconnect after a crazy few weeks. I tell you it was hard to come up with topics to talk about on our drive to Spokane and back, but some how we did it. We left after awhile since Caleb was fussy. On of my favorite parts of the wedding was watching my parents dance. They asked the last 3 couple how long they had been married. My Aunt and Uncle were at 49 years. I am so blessed to come from a family that is committed to marriage. I thank Jesus for that every day.

Allison and Caleb

Typical 3 year old :)

Allison asked to hold Caleb today. I just had to take a picture of them both. Caleb is 3 months and 1 week old and Allison is 3. They are so cute together. Caleb is such a happy baby but it was so hard to get them both to smile at the same time. They both have such cute smiles too. I just love being a mom to them both.

My first Pie

Yep I made my first pie ever. Allison helped with the crust. It was a lot of fun too. We made a Gluten Free Blackberry pie. Kyle and Allison picked the blackberries and I did the rest. I think it turned out pretty good. The thing I didn't like is that the berries were very tarty. Kyle said I should add more sugar. Next time I may do that. We are trying to do more gluten, wheat free foods but they are a hit and miss. What I mean by that is sometimes it can be really good and most of the time it has no taste. Oh well it was fun doing the crust with Allison. That is all that matters to me and being a healthy mom.

Baby again

Allison and I are sitting here watching old videos of her when she was little. I said, "Allison, can you please be a cute baby again?" She said, "no, I am big because God made me big." Oh how I love the things kids say.

First Day of Preschool

Today I was up at 645. I have not been up that early in a long time. I had to get ready to take Allison to her first day of preschool. Parents were required to stay at least an hour today so the kids could get used to the place. I had to get up get myself ready. Allison was up at 730 this morning. I made Allison a nice breakfast. We had breakfast together and then we got dressed and ready for school. I then had to wake Caleb up at 745 although he as already out of his swaddle by then and ready to eat. I fed him and then left him with Kyle this morning. On Thursday I am on my own. I hope I can make it. I don't think I will get up and take a shower next time. I did like getting up early today but It makes my day so long.

Allison told me she was nervous this morning but excited. The good thing is her friends Skylar and Aidens are in her class. We did a craft and played games. I think she will enjoy it. She was so serious when they did circle time. She never talks she just observes. It will be nice to have a break in the morning. I can not believe my little baby is in school now.
