purpler hat

Allison dressed up Caleb in her purple hat made by my friend Tamara. Allison got this hat when she was 6 months. We pull it out every year. She loves to still wear it.

Putting up the Tree

I love Christmas time. Especially getting the tree up. Caleb was not sure at first but then he got into the groove of things. Caleb is 18 months and this is all very exciting for him. He especially enjoyed taking all the ornaments off the tree. Allison loved seeing all her ornaments she has received over the years from Aunt Sandra, Uncle chad and great aunt and Uncle Bart Butchart.

Another snow day

My cute boy and his new hat.

Allison ready to go down the hill by herself.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. This morning we ventured out again for more sledding. It is so much fun. Caleb still did not like the snow but he did look cute in his new hat. Allison loved being outside and she even went down the hill on her sled all by herself. She is becoming so independent.

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving at the Klings house. This year we spent thanksgiving with my family. It has been 4 years since I have had it with my family. I was so excited to walk in the door and see the table set with fine china and paper napkins. I love my dad. He did all the work. Dad did the turkey, Kyle made sweet potatoes, natachia made green beans and I made a gluten free macadam ion pie. The food was very yummy. We had dinner late on thanksgiving because my mom had to work. It worked for our schedule because the kids took a rest. We relaxed all day and then headed over to my parents for a yummy dinner. It was a great day and I am so thankful for my family. Here are a few of our favorite pictures of the night.

Snow Day In Seattle

The best part about living on a hill in the winter time is the fun sledding you have with family and friends. This year we got to use our sled that Santa got us 2 year's ago. It was so much fun. Caleb was not too happy about the cold but he did have fun going down the hill. Allison and I loved it. Our neighbors even had one with a steering wheel with a brake. It was fast and fun. On of my favorite moments is taking the kids out at 730pm and going down in the dark. Caleb cried the whole way. He was so ready for bed. Allison and I kept climbing the hill higher and higher each time. One time we hit the retention pond gate. We had fun. I hope she always remembers times like that.

A day at Edmonds

Today was such a beautiful day we decided to go to Edmond's water front and play on the beach and watch the ferry's. As we got to the water it was crazy. The wind was going crazy and the waves were very high. Caleb started to cry so we decided to head back up to town and have lunch. We love Edmond's. We always have a great time there. After lunch we looked at a few shops and then headed home for a long nap.

This picture is right before we got to the water. I should of taken one when Caleb started to freak out.

Allison sleeping with all her kitties, Amber, scat is in her hand, not sure what the black on is and Emmie. She loved having Emmie sleep with her.

Ballet

Allison has been asking me to do ballet for such a long time. This year I decided to let her do it. We tried 3 different places. We ended up at Reflection School of Dance.
We decided on this place because it was close to home and the class was an hour long and very structured. Allison likes to learn what she is doing while playing games as well. The best part is its owned by a christian couple and when I walked it I felt so comfortable leaving her their. The other two she did not like. We tried one in Edmond's and she liked it but it was too far of a drive for just a half an hour class. The second place we tried was in Everett and it was not structured at all. We both felt lost and when we arrived there was no one to help us. Allison is enjoying her class now and she loves to dance around and pretend to be a ballerina. On the first Tuesday of the month I got to watch her do ballet. The teacher said she is doing really well and she has only done 1 class. I hope she enjoys doing ballet and continues through out the year.
