Finger Puppets

Grandma Nancy bought Allison a new book. Its Goldielocks and the 3 bears. Its a fun book with finger puppets. Allison just loves it. She thought it was great when mommy put the puppets on her fingers.

We just had Allisons 15 month check up. She got 3 shots and she was not happy about it. She is still in the 98% for her weight and height. I am happy to report she is growing like a weed. She is also finally getting her 1st year molers in. Yep, lots of fun at the Hutchison home.

Elmo does what?

Yes, tickle me elmo moves and shakes. He is very good entertainment for some, but for some well they are not sure about a moving toy. Thursday I watched my friend Aprils son Gibson for a few hours. We played at the park down from our house and then played inside because it was so cold. Allison has a tickle me elmo. Gibson pushed on the elmo and when he started to move he was a little disturbed. Check out the photos.

Another day at the hutchison home

Its been awhile since I blogged. I feel like I have had no time to myself. Latley Allison wants to take only an hr nap. I let her fuss for another 1/2 hr because I need to get stuff done. I feel like a bad parent these days. I have been loosing patience with Allison. I always want her to be on my schedule, but some days she just wants to do what she wants to do. Strong willed Mother + strong willed child = 2 unhappy people. I really hope she knows how much i love her even when i loose patience.

Recently i wrote to my friends Susan. I lived with her and her husband Todd and they made parenting seem so easy. I told her about allisons strong willed temper. She of course reminded me of Hannah her oldest childs strong willed personality. She said that even though she is strong willed now it will benefit her when she is older. Oh, its tough now but i do look forward to the future. I miss the Petersons a great deal. I learned so much about parenting from them.

The happy family. We had a great time one night just playing on our bed. I had to capture this moment.

With the weather being as it has been here in Seattle i have tried to find different things for allison to do. One day we built a fort and stayed in our PJs until noon. That was a lot of fun. I have never done that but she loved it. Another day we played with plado. She loved squishing it. Its hard to keep her busy but i do try. I guess as a mother I have to learn to go with the flow sometimes.

Happy 21st

Would you ever want to be 21 again? I recently thought about that after celebrating my nieces 21st. I planned a little get together at the Red Hook Brewery. It was weird to have a drink with my niece. I feel so old. When I was 15 years old Natachia was born. SHe is more like a little sister to me rather then my niece. I could not imagine my life without here. Anyways we had a great time. It was fun to go out with my sister, all her 5 kids, natachias parents, Kyle, Allison and my parents.

A good day

Today has started out really good. Daddy was home this morning and when he went into to get Allison she cuddled with him. It was so preciouse. We then headed to the Drs for dad appointment. All is good but Kyle had to have some blood work done.

Some of you know I have been getting my thyroid checked every 3 months. After Allison was born my hormones got pretty bad. Latley i have had trouble sleeping so I am on medication for that. I am so sick of taking stuff. I recently got my thyroid checked again. I have a low case of hashimoto thyroidits. WHat is hashimoto? Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is a type of autoimmune thyroid disease in which the immune system attacks and destroys the thyroid gland. The thyroid helps set the rate of metabolism, which is the rate at which the body uses energy. Hashimoto’s stops the gland from making enough thyroid hormones for the body to work the way it should. It is the most common thyroid disease in the U.S I have had no energy these days. I eat right and exercise but something just wasn't working right with me. So I got it checked again. I was told by my doctor it is very common in woman who have given birth. Anyways, this might be the reason why i am not getting a good nights sleep. You would think now that Allison sleeps through the night I would too, not at all. I am adjusting to all this medical stuff that has happend to me over the year. It is very hard to take. I hate taking medication but the Lord is helping me to adjust with it all.

Ok, enough about me. After the Drs appointment we then went to drop Daddy off at work. We had lunch and then allison was excited to play in daddies office. She was so cute. Her new word now is "no no" when I asked her if we could leave she kept saying "no, no." As we got home I could tell she was tired. For some reason it took her 1/2 an hr to go to sleep. Here i am now blogging for you all. I tried to have a quiet time but with the laundry machine banging and allison crying i could not focus. I guess we have days like that. I am finding out that I need time with God. When i am not sleeping i am praying a lot but i need to read his word too. I am realizing that for me to be a good example to my daughter and others around me I need time with God. He truly is the best example, and the hardest to follow. I find that when I do spend time in the word or prayer my day seems easier. This is hard to do but i strive to do it. That is all I can do.

Yesterday I took pictures of Allison. Before we headed to music class i pulled out the paper and crayons. She is in this faze where she loves to scribble. I thought it was so cute. I had to get my camera out. She had a ball doing this. The hard part was keeping her in the kitchen with the crayons. I am affraid she might be like me when I was little and start drawing on the walls. At least now days the crayons are washable. Oh, how times have changed.

Well i am going to relax myself now. Tonight we head off to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday. I can hardly believe she is 21. She makes me feel so old. I have enjoyed watching her grow up though. Have a great weekend.

My Bath

Tonight (Sunday) we had some good friends over for dinner, the Van Liews. It was fun to catch up with them. Anyways, We let the kids outside on the back porch. Keith (ll months) tamaras youngest is still crawling. He got dirty so she wanted to give him a quick bath. As i started the water Allison came running in. I asked her if she wanted to take bath with Keith, she said yes. I left the room with Tamara getting keith ready and all of a sudden i heard a cry. Allison was fine until Tamara put keith in the bath. Wow, i was shocked. I guess you can tell she is an only child at this time. I thought she would be ok with it since she has taken baths with Mom and dad. Nope she was all done right then. I also didn't think she would mind because she is around keith at least once a week. Before they go to our house, I told her that Chole and Keith were coming over to play. She proceded to go to the stairs thinking we were going to their house. I said no we are not going to Chloe and Keiths house. She was upset because she wanted to go to their house. She had fun after we got her out of her bath.

Poor Keith all he wanted to do was play. He is such a happy kid and so dang handsome. Every time I am around him i just want to love on him. Keith has an older sister Chloe ( 3 1/2) years old. I asked to take her picture but she did not want me to. Chloe was great. She is very sweet to Allison and she is as cute as her brother. We had a lot of fun with them. While Phil and Kyle were outside measuring our backyard for a deck, Tamara and i decided to try playing pool. Ya, that was fun. Tamara and I need to take some lessons. Though tam seemend a little bit better then me she did scratch and lost the game. hee hee.

Busy Days

Today is Sunday morning. For some reason Kyle and I just decided to stay in bed with Allison. We usually rush to get to church on Sunday mornings, not today. This morning ALlison and daddy built a fort. She thought it was so much fun. She is totally daddies girl on the weekends. Its a nice break for mom.

Last night we had some friends over for dinner. We played an interesting game which lasted until 1030. That is way past my bed time. Allison entertained us all until around 8pm. She was so funny. She just loved being the center of attention.

School has started for most but not us. Allison did start her music classes and swimming lessons. I joined Kyle and Allison for the second class. SHe loves being in the water but it was pretty cold out side. We are taking swimming classes at the Lynnwood pool. They are putting a new roof on so thats why we are all so cold. Allison did great. She was shivering a lot but did not want to get out. We also started music classes this past week. She enjoyed seeing her two friends Skylar and Aideen. She sat in my lap most of the time but enjoyed the class. She got her first stamp on her hand from the teacher. All day she kept looking at it. After class we headed to the park to play with Aideen and Skylar.

The past month has been fun but a little tough for mom latley. For some reason Allison gets a little runny nose once a month. We are reassured that all it is teething, but it does not make my days good. For mommy they are very long days of constant clinging and whinning. I guess thats goes with the package when you have kids. I just wish teeth would come in rather then take their own sweet time. The weekends are nice because dad is home and she seems to be in better spirits.. Lets pray that those teeth come in soon.

Don't get me wrong I love Allison with all my heart. The last two months have been up and down with her emotions and its been tough to figure out. I feel for the little ones because they want so bad for us to understand them. When we don't they get so frustrated with us and themselves. Recently Allison has started to hit herself. It breaks my heart. She does it when i say no to her, or when i don't understand her, or when she cant figure something out. I know she is trying to express herself or get some sort of attention, but whey does she have to hit herself? My friend April's son used to bang is head on the hardwood floors. Allison does that sometimes too. After she does it she looks at us to see if we are watching. I learned from April's experiance to just ignore it. We will see if it works with Allison. Well off to mommy dutie.

Helping Daddy

On Sunday Kyle decided to fix our garbage disposal. Allison thought it was funny and wanted to help. Mom was on the couch watching the hawks game. I guess Allie will be more like dad.

Im so cute

We went to the park by our house and we just had to take some pictures. Allison is growing up so fast. She loves being outside. I found it is the only thing that makes her happy at this time.

Look, I am a ballerina. She loves doing this pose.

She loves the slides too. She walks up and goes down. We are having a lot of fun with her. This fall i have her signed up for music classes and swimming. I am so excited to have some scheduled activities for her. I know she will like being busy. I hope you all are enjoying the blogg.

New Hair

Ok I did it. I colored my own hair. Oh, how i miss aunt tracy coloring my hair. I am not sure about the color but it will have to grow on me.

I also put allison hair up in pig tails. She was so cute. I asked her " Do you want mommy to put pretties in your hair?" SHe nodded yes. We went over to the mirror and she giggled. SHe thought she was the baum. When i look at the pictures i feel as though she looks older then 14 1/2 months. Oh how they grow.

Allisons First fair

We took Allison to the Evergreen Fair this past Sunday. We met my parents and niece Natachia. Allison calls Natachia, Auntie Natachia. She seems more like an aunt rather then a cousin. We finally arrived after the horrible traffic. As soon as we got in the gates Allison just smiled the whole time. She loved seeing the rides, people, ballons and so much more. The first thing we did was eat. Oh man i just love fair food. Allison was too busy checking things out to focus on the eating. After eating we headed to look at some animals. We saw smelly cows, goats, lambs and we even saw show dogs. After looking at some animals we decided to check out the kids rides for Allison. We passed by some tractors.

Here we are as a family enjoying the little ride. Allison thought it was a lot of fun. I think she had more fun riding in the back pack w/ dad though. We headed over the rides for kids. We thought for sure you can ride with your child if they are too young. You can but your child needs to be 36 inches long. We thought for sure with Allison spout out of her head would make it, nope just a tad too short. Maybe next year allie. Thats ok we then headed over to see the rabbits and ducks.

Allisons Favorite animals were the ducks. She had so much fun watching them and saying quack, quack. Of course her quack, quack sounds different then theirs but I think they knew she was not a duck. As you can see in this picture she wanted to get into the cage with them. We had a blast watching her experiance this whole time at the fair.

Most of you know I don't let Allie have juice or sweets. At the fair i thought why not, she can try cotten candy, yum, yum. SHe signed for more of course. I did not give her anymore though. I also let her try the elphant ear. OH man did she love that. If you have never had them it was dough with ciniman and sugar on it. They surve it to you hot. It melted in my mouth. I broke and let her have 3 small bites. After a lot of great food, sight seeing and walking we decided to head home. I thought for sure Allie would crash in the car. Nope she had way too much fun. She even played in her bed for awhile that night. I guess it was the sugar. Oh well it was a great treat for her.

Before we left, we had to get her a ballon. She thought it was the greatest. The fair around here is so much fun. I am already excited about taking her next year. Happy Labor Day weekend to all.
