This is our backpacking two man tent.
Daddy and Allison saying "cheese"
Baby dolls hanging up on the top of the tent. :)This weekend I was able to go on our Woman's Retreat with our church. It was held in Leavenworth so I did not want to miss it. I had a great time bonding with my friends and learning a lot about my relationship with God. I could write my thoughts but I am not ready to share. Anyways, Kyle had Allison and he decided to put up the tent in the house. She loves to build forts and play with her dolls. She has so much fun with Daddy. Its a great thing to do when you get stuck in the house all day. I am glad they had a good time.
Today Allison and I are staying inside. When I got home from my retreat Allison had her first cold this season. You would never know she was sick buy the energy she has. Mom wants to stay home because I think I am catching a little bit of it. We both have been blowing our noses all morning. I do get a little board and I am not sure what to do with her today. She is worn down today so I am letting her watch TV but that concerns me. If anyone has ideas about what to do with a sick kid let me know.

There is NOTHING wrong with letter her watch some TV. At least, in my opinion. She will be fine. Let her veg if she isn't feeling good.
I hope she feels better soon. We have had a cold for 2 weeks. I can't seem to get rid of the cough, but the boys are fine.
TV is great for vegging, I like to just watch some when I'm not feeling well too. Sean likes stories so when he needs to hold still we read.

Honestly when the kids are sick that is when they watch the most TV. I usually keep it on Noggin or we all watch a movie together. They don't veg out on Nickilodeon or any of the stations with all the crazy fast paced commercials. Also they don't veg out all day. An hour here or there. Both kids love books, we can easily burn through an hour while reading. Music.. who doesn't love listening to music.. go on a walk, even if it is just 15 minutes, it's fresh air and a change of scenery. Puzzles and coloring - don't last long but there's 5 minutes filled for ya! LOL! Doesn't sound like a lot but both of my kids were just sick for 8 days - home for 8 days with me - we had a blast. It was nice to be forced to stay home and take it easy. We all appreciated the down time.
I hope she is feeling better soon!
