Spokane Trip

Labor Day weekend Kyle, Caleb and I drove to Spokane for my cousin Shilo's wedding. We were going to drive on Saturday but we decided at the last minute on Friday to head out. Allison stayed back and spent the night with Grandma Hutchison. Kyle, Caleb and I arrived at my uncles house in Moses Lake around 1130pm. Caleb slept the whole way. We got settled in the house with my parents and slept for a few hours. The next morning we headed over to Spokane and checked into the hotel.

After we got checked in and ready for the wedding. Kyle and I had a great time. First it was easy to just have one kid. That gave us a chance to social with family and take turns watching Caleb. The wedding was a lot of fun. It was a little hard to watch the slide show with pictures of my grandpa. It was also hard to see my grandma sitting in the front all by herself. It truly brought tears to my eyes. My grandma said to me, "if Grandpa was still alive, we would of been married 70 years." WOW! We all miss my grandpa dearly. I am so blessed to have such a big family. IT was a lot of fun to reconnect with them again.

The reception was a lot of fun too. Kyle and I got to dance one time. I love dancing slow songs with Kyle. If they play Harry Connick Jr he always sings the songs to me. I just love my husband. During this trip it really gave us the opportunity to reconnect after a crazy few weeks. I tell you it was hard to come up with topics to talk about on our drive to Spokane and back, but some how we did it. We left after awhile since Caleb was fussy. On of my favorite parts of the wedding was watching my parents dance. They asked the last 3 couple how long they had been married. My Aunt and Uncle were at 49 years. I am so blessed to come from a family that is committed to marriage. I thank Jesus for that every day.
