Camping at Banks Lake

We are so excited to celebrate our 4Th year camping with the Aldworths. This year we decided not to go to Lincoln Rock. We ended up trying a new place "Banks Lake." We were so excited to see the amazing rocks around us. On the drive over the kids did great. Caleb only took two small naps but he didn't mind being in the car. As we arrived the weather was a little cool but cool enough for us to get our new tent up. (which by the way came in the mail the day before we left.) Caleb enjoyed playing in the tent.

I will say camping is a lot of fun and we love making this a tradition. The hard part about it this year was Caleb. He layed in my arms for 2 days. He had a slight fever and did not want to sleep in his pack and play. He didn't even like being on the boat. On the second day I was so ready to head on home. Our friends had a condo and asked if we wanted to take Caleb their to take a nap. I decided that Kyle and Allison could stay out while Caleb and I rested in a air condition place. It was a huge help for us. Caleb and I both took naps, got a shower and some relaxing time in doors. Caleb was a new boy after that. He loved staying up late and sleeping between mommy and sister.

Allison on the other hand had a blast. You totally loves to camp and loves to eat a lot of good junk food. Her favorite part is tubing behind the boat. If Kurt Aldworth would of let her she would of stayed on the tube all day. Allison had fun playing with the Decoins family too. They had kids her age to play with. On the first day at Banks, Allison and Kyle went down to the river and played. After about an hour they came back up and Allison was all wet. She had fallen into the cold water. I decided to give her a quick outdoor warm shower to get all the sand off. It was a little tough because for some reason she thought she had to wear 3 pairs of panties. That's what happens when mommy lets her dress her self. Allison and I just laughed.

IT was a good time to be with my friends. Even though it started off rough, Kyle and I had a good time. We totally love our new big tent too. We hope to do more camping in the future.

Me getting ready to practice my open water swim in the Columbia River. I had 3 panic attacks because of the seaweed.

Going for our hike up on steamboat rock. This was a scary hike for us. Kyle had to carry both kids down at some point. It was very rocky and steep.

The View

Here I am caring Caleb. It was a straight up hike.

Our family photo.

Our new Captain.

The 4Th of July at the Grand Coulee Damn. It was not a great show. I was very disappointed. Allison fell asleep. Caleb watched the whole thing.

The Decoins

Me starting my open water swim in deeper water. It was much better then the seaweed. :)

"More" Caleb always wanted more food.

Cliff Jumping.
