Allisons First fair

We took Allison to the Evergreen Fair this past Sunday. We met my parents and niece Natachia. Allison calls Natachia, Auntie Natachia. She seems more like an aunt rather then a cousin. We finally arrived after the horrible traffic. As soon as we got in the gates Allison just smiled the whole time. She loved seeing the rides, people, ballons and so much more. The first thing we did was eat. Oh man i just love fair food. Allison was too busy checking things out to focus on the eating. After eating we headed to look at some animals. We saw smelly cows, goats, lambs and we even saw show dogs. After looking at some animals we decided to check out the kids rides for Allison. We passed by some tractors.

Here we are as a family enjoying the little ride. Allison thought it was a lot of fun. I think she had more fun riding in the back pack w/ dad though. We headed over the rides for kids. We thought for sure you can ride with your child if they are too young. You can but your child needs to be 36 inches long. We thought for sure with Allison spout out of her head would make it, nope just a tad too short. Maybe next year allie. Thats ok we then headed over to see the rabbits and ducks.

Allisons Favorite animals were the ducks. She had so much fun watching them and saying quack, quack. Of course her quack, quack sounds different then theirs but I think they knew she was not a duck. As you can see in this picture she wanted to get into the cage with them. We had a blast watching her experiance this whole time at the fair.

Most of you know I don't let Allie have juice or sweets. At the fair i thought why not, she can try cotten candy, yum, yum. SHe signed for more of course. I did not give her anymore though. I also let her try the elphant ear. OH man did she love that. If you have never had them it was dough with ciniman and sugar on it. They surve it to you hot. It melted in my mouth. I broke and let her have 3 small bites. After a lot of great food, sight seeing and walking we decided to head home. I thought for sure Allie would crash in the car. Nope she had way too much fun. She even played in her bed for awhile that night. I guess it was the sugar. Oh well it was a great treat for her.

Before we left, we had to get her a ballon. She thought it was the greatest. The fair around here is so much fun. I am already excited about taking her next year. Happy Labor Day weekend to all.

I loved reading your narrative of Allison's first fair! I smiled all the way through -- I can just picture her smiling with excitement, eyes wide, ooo'ing all the way. I love that little girl. You are such wonderful parents.
