Today is Sunday morning. For some reason Kyle and I just decided to stay in bed with Allison. We usually rush to get to church on Sunday mornings, not today. This morning ALlison and daddy built a fort. She thought it was so much fun. She is totally daddies girl on the weekends. Its a nice break for mom.
Last night we had some friends over for dinner. We played an interesting game which lasted until 1030. That is way past my bed time. Allison entertained us all until around 8pm. She was so funny. She just loved being the center of attention.

School has started for most but not us. Allison did start her music classes and swimming lessons. I joined Kyle and Allison for the second class. SHe loves being in the water but it was pretty cold out side. We are taking swimming classes at the Lynnwood pool. They are putting a new roof on so thats why we are all so cold. Allison did great. She was shivering a lot but did not want to get out. We also started music classes this past week. She enjoyed seeing her two friends Skylar and Aideen. She sat in my lap most of the time but enjoyed the class. She got her first stamp on her hand from the teacher. All day she kept looking at it. After class we headed to the park to play with Aideen and Skylar.
The past month has been fun but a little tough for mom latley. For some reason Allison gets a little runny nose once a month. We are reassured that all it is teething, but it does not make my days good. For mommy they are very long days of constant clinging and whinning. I guess thats goes with the package when you have kids. I just wish teeth would come in rather then take their own sweet time. The weekends are nice because dad is home and she seems to be in better spirits.. Lets pray that those teeth come in soon.
Don't get me wrong I love Allison with all my heart. The last two months have been up and down with her emotions and its been tough to figure out. I feel for the little ones because they want so bad for us to understand them. When we don't they get so frustrated with us and themselves. Recently Allison has started to hit herself. It breaks my heart. She does it when i say no to her, or when i don't understand her, or when she cant figure something out. I know she is trying to express herself or get some sort of attention, but whey does she have to hit herself? My friend April's son used to bang is head on the hardwood floors. Allison does that sometimes too. After she does it she looks at us to see if we are watching. I learned from April's experiance to just ignore it. We will see if it works with Allison. Well off to mommy dutie.

Sometimes when I say no Sean will hit his mouth with his hand, just like he is slapping himself. He did it around Jason one day and Jason looked at me like "what are you doing to this child!". I don't know why they do it, I have never slapped him, they must just need a physical outlet for frustration.
Geez that's an awful farmer's tan!
You beat me to it... was going to comment on that AWESOME farmer's tan. Keep workin' on that - Good Morning American may have you on as a guest star.
