Childrens Museum

Today we decided to meet my friend Christie and the boys at the Everett Children's Museum. We have been told it is an amazing place to go but we never made it there. With the weather not being very good these days we headed out to the museum today. Allison had a blast. When we first walked in she wasn't sure about the place. Allison is a girl who takes every thing in very slow. She has to warm up to the place before she heads out to explore. We walked around and found our friends Aidan and Skylar in the water area. Allison and Aidan her buddy were having so much fun squirting the water. Aidan kept getting Allison all wet. She loved it though.

After playing in the water we decided to check the rest of the place out. We ended up in the little farm area. It had a horse to sit on, ducks that laid eggs (balls) a tractor to sit on and even a cow to milk (the old fashion way) Allison was all about milking the cow. I told her that my dad, her papa used to milk cows this way when he was a little boy on the farm in Montana. She thought it was funny to milk.

After much play inside we decided to go upstairs to the outside play area. The sun was finally coming out so we did not want to waste the day away. Allison was so funny she wanted to keep digging for dinosaur bones but she kept wanting to dig in the place that had nothing there.
She also challenged herself by climbing a rock wall, mom helped hold her and place her feet.
She even climbed up to the tallest yellow slide all by herself and went down it. You have to know my daughter. This is huge for her. She always wants mommy to go and do things with her, so for her to go by herself was a big deal for mom. Today was a day spend with much laughter. We headed home and took a long nap. When daddy got home we decided to enjoy the sun being out so we went to downtown Mill Creek and had dinner and walked around. We don't get a lot of family time together during the week because Kyle or I are passing each other in the night as soon as he gets home. Today was a fun day and I hope now that we have decreased our schedules a little we will have more family time.
