Happy Daddy Day

Saturday morning we woke up and headed out to the Zoo. Kyle wanted to go hiking but he was not feeling well so he decided to do the zoo. We had a great time. Allison enjoyed seeing a lot of the animals. I think her favorite ones were the Gorillas. A year ago she enjoyed watching them. This is Allison when she was about 8 months at the zoo. After the zoo we came home and took a nap. Lets say mom tried to take a nap and Allison talked, sang and screamed in her bed. For some reason she did not want to take a nap. Later that night we went to Uncle Chads house and had a BBQ. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed spending time with the families. Allison had fun playing with the golf clubs and sitting with Grandma. Allison was very tired so we headed home a little early to get to bed.

Sunday Morning Daddies Day we made breakfast and waffles for daddy. We then headed to church where kyle won a gift card to best buy. The message was very important to dad about how to raise your children. We need to keep lifting them up and teaching them to believe in themselves. After church we headed to the mall for lunch. It was such a wonderful day I did not want to miss the sunshine. The funny part is while I was sitting outside eating with my daughter this guy kept staring at me, I mean staring at me. It almost gave me the creeps until I saw his wife walk buy and realized who it was. IT was my old friend from the College Group at Overlake Todd Auckland. It was so good to see them. It was fun to laugh with Todd and his wife Colleen about the old days. Man, time just flys buy. Anyways, once again Allison decided she did not want to take a nap. We still keep her in her room for about an 1hr 1/2. I was exhausted from the day and Allison not napping for two days. So around 5pm we headed to my parents house to celebrate with my dad. Most of you know my Dad has always been my best friend until I met Kyle. I love hanging out with my dad and he enjoys watching Allison. We played out in the yard with my nieces new dog Kai. Allison loves to say "no Kai" we all just crack up. It was a fun weekend filled with a great time with both families. Kyle and I are so blessed to have such great families. I could not ask for any thing more then I already have.
